The Watchers investigates the boundaries between fact and fiction, construct and coincidence, live and recording.

Butler constructed six areas of performances in different buildings. The public was invited to listen to and watch these areas using special infrared binoculars.

A piece of technology designed by Mediamatic that allows you to see everything you hear, and you hear everything you see.

The entire space becomes a stage, a theatrical experience linking the watchers and the watched.
